To install the driver, put it in the program files/ control4/composer170/drivers/virtual. (replace the composer170 with whatever version you are using) · Load composer. · Connect to your director unit or select virtual if you don’t have a home controller. · Select System design in the lower left corner. · Choose the My drivers tab in the upper right corner. · Add a Home Controller HC300 if you are in Virtual or whatever your controller is if you connected directly to it. · Add the Switch driver by double clicking A/Vswitch under the My Drivers Tab. · Select Avocation as the manufacturer and it should be in the list. Double click the driver. · Now you will see it in the list on the left of the screen. · If you have a controller go to Connections in the lower left. o Identify the controller using the network tab in the upper left. o Go back to the Control A/V Tab (upper left) o Select the switch o Drag the RS232 in the middle upper window (you might have to scroll down) to the RS232 port on the home controller. · Select System design in the lower left again. · Double click the switch and you can control the device directly. · Close the window and select the switch with a single click and then you can check out the property pages for the device including the page with the enable audio and disable audio commands (the are being changed to enable/disable volume).
